The Party:
Watch Hill Inn, Watch Hill, Rhode Island
Here's the limo with the flat tire. Luckily, we planned for alternate methods of transportation:
Here's the reception hall. The flowers are in grape vine baskets hand made by Leah's Grandmother! What you don't see is just off to the left there is a ginormous raw bar table. Mmmmmmmmm:
We had an antique lake boat take us down the river to a dock in front of the Inn.
Many, many pictures of the wedding party:
There was more kissing:
And some more kissing:
Best. Cake. Ever. It had white chocolate sea shells and seaweed, and brown sugar for sand:
There was lots of impromptu singing, which lead to even more kissing:
There was good dancing:
And not so good dancing:
There were the requisite rituals, taken straight out of a Ralph Lauren Ad:
And a good time was had by all.
Conversation before our wedding between brother and sister:
Leah: John, my wedding is next weekend.
John: But that's Game 3.
Leah: It's my wedding.
John: It's Game 3.
The rest of the night after the reception was spent at the Pleasantview Inn, watching the Sabres play in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. They literally opened up a separate bar for our contingent, and John ended up bartending.
The Recovery:
Blood Marys and brunch at numerous beach houses, Misquamicut, RI.
Casualties:
No reported injuries.
1 Missing Person - Pat McHale - who was found, well, we won't revisit that particular episode.
Final Result:
Second weekend in June, 2009. Save the date. We're throwing another Bash at the Beach for our 10th Anniversary.
